Vocab- add the last two words from week 30 to notes- reprimand and tantamount
Warriors Don't Cry- go over vocab words and definitions for the novel (see Classroom if needed) take notes over prejudice and discrimination; pass out books and put names on them; begin reading chapter 1 and highlighting examples of discrimination Melba and her family faced
Thursday
Vocab- review week 30 words Quizlet link is in Classroom to study weeks 28-30 words
Warriors- finish reading chapter 1 and do the discrimination chart; begin reading chapter 2 up to page 18 in blocks 1/2 and 6/, page 20 in block 4/5
Finish the discrimination chart for homework if not completed in class
Friday
No vocab- there will not be a vocab test on Friday or on the final- we have our 3 data points and don't need to assess it anymore this semester
Warriors Don't Cry- read the rest of chapter 2, highlight the differences between Cincinnati and Little Rock; complete the graphic organizer (in Classroom if needed); read chapter 3 up to page 27, highlighting information about the Little Rock 9 students; complete the graphic organizer (in Classroom if needed)
On Monday we will be collecting ch. 1 Evidence of Discrimination chart and both of today's chapter graphic organizers
